FAQ

What do I need to do before use?

Before first use, draw the probe out of its coil slowly and evenly to avoid kinking the cable, then remove the protective cap from the camera lens. On screen models, also peel the protective film off the display.

Which app do I use, is it free, and does it need WiFi or a cable?

Phone-connected models use a free companion app to show the live view and record photos and video — no account required. The current app name and download links (App Store / Google Play) are in the product's manual and on its page. These models connect by direct cable, so there is no Wi-Fi pairing to set up.

Which phones and OS versions are supported?

Our phone-connected borescopes work with both iPhone and Android, and both USB-C and Lightning cables are included in the box — so you don't need to choose a connector when ordering. Just use the cable that matches your phone.

Can it take photos and record video? Where are files stored?

Yes. Models with a built-in screen capture photos and video directly to a TF/microSD card (up to 32GB); you can then transfer files with a card reader or over USB. Phone-connected models save to your phone through the companion app.

The lens fogs up or the image looks hazy—what should I do?

Fogging usually happens when the probe moves between temperatures, such as from a cold engine bay into a warm room. Let the device acclimate for a minute or two and it will clear on its own. Persistent haze is almost always residue on the lens—clean it with a soft cloth, and make sure any protective film has been removed from the camera head.

How do I clean and store the probe to extend its life?

Gently wipe the camera head with a soft, lint-free cloth. For oil, grease, or debris from automotive or plumbing inspections, use a cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol or mild soapy water, then dry it before storing. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh solvents, which can scratch the lens or damage the waterproof seal.

Is the probe repairable or replaceable if damaged?

On several models the probe is detachable, so a damaged probe can be swapped instead of replacing the whole tool — for example the H406B, M506, F606B and F606A. For fixed-probe models, contact our support team with your order number and, as a factory-direct brand, we'll handle repair or replacement in-house.

What warranty comes with my RALCAM device?

Every RALCAM inspection camera includes a 1-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. As a factory-direct brand with 16 years of engineering experience, we handle all warranty support in-house—just contact us with your order number and we'll make it right.

What's your return policy?

If the product isn't right for you, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund on the item—no restocking fees and free return shipping. Just contact our support team with your order number and we'll get your return started. Items should be in their original condition and packaging.
