No idea how I went so long without this. Using it to fish things out of spots (like a copper washer out of the bottom of a glow plug hole in a 6.7 diesel — would have needed to pull the valve cover if I didn't have this) is huge. Easy to use and seems tough enough too.

I got this borescope as an upgrade to a cheap scope that plugged into my phone. Having a dedicated scope that can articulate saved me from fully opening a wall when there was a snafu.

My house is from the seventies, and we still have lots of plumbing pieces from the original build. When the overflow drain on one of the kids' tubs partially crumbled into dust, I had to tell the family to be careful not to overfill the tub until we replaced everything. You can probably tell where this is going...

Last night I heard the bathtub filling and went in to find the tub filled all the way to the overflow valve. I shut it off quickly and opened the main drain. Panic set in. I opened this inspection camera for the first time, drilled a 1/4" hole on the other side of the wall and took a look down into the wall to see what the damage was. With one 1/4" hole I was able to scoot around under the tub, the busted drain assembly, the pipes and 2x4s, and found that I had gotten to the whole situation just in time. There was no water anywhere. The articulating tip allowed me to look at everything from multiple angles.

Having this inspection camera at the ready saved me from cutting a big access hole in my wife's closet when I wasn't prepared for that amount of work or mess.

Finally I can look "around the corner". For a long time I struggled with a mirror and flashlight to see into dark corners on the car and engine. That's over now — I can even record HD video and photos and review them later on my PC. The joystick control works well after a short learning curve.

First off, this scope is great! I've spent so much time pulling in and out and twisting the cable on my old ones trying to get the angle I needed, and all it led to was frustration. By the time I got it where I needed it, the camera would overheat, start flickering and black out.

This Ralcam is very well built and designed. The screen is huge and displays crisp images, so I can tell exactly what I'm looking at. It has not overheated on me so far, and the battery has lasted plenty. The little handle makes it much easier to hold and operate — it's pretty natural to use versus holding a phone-type screen and pushing buttons with the other hand.

What really separates this one and makes it worth the price is the camera being able to move where you want it when your hands can't get there. I've owned 3 others, from a very old one about 20 years ago to this, and I highly recommend this one. It's 100% worth it!

Used it a couple of times and it was amazing to use. Would buy again! Other expensive borescopes have way less articulation, some none at all. The camera and cable are super small for tight passages and do an actual 180° bend with no problem.

I've had some professional exposure to high-end articulating borescopes in the aviation industry, and these were typically out of reach financially for the average consumer. It amazes me to see quality offerings now available at affordable prices.

Overall, I am really impressed with the quality and functionality of this Ralcam borescope. It comes packaged in a decent plastic case with a good instruction manual. The scope assembles easily and is very intuitive to use. Control of the articulating tip is not the most fluid I've used in much more expensive machines, but I would rate it very good, and certainly capable of just about anything more expensive units can accomplish.

The picture and screen quality are also very good with a generous depth of focus. I like that the rechargeable battery is accessible and replaceable. The lighting intensity is adjustable for optimal illumination. I tested this on a plumbing project to inspect a fitting in an extremely tight space and it worked flawlessly. Highly recommended.

Very good, great quality. I use it for car mechanics — it fits through the spark plug hole.

I have tested a good amount of borescopes and I would put this one on the mid/high-end tier.

What brought it here was the very clear screen, which meant fewer scope adjustments trying to get just the right angle. The camera was crisp — next to no focus issues no matter how close I was or how narrow the item I was scoping.

The lighting is in an excellent position: it didn't reflect anything into the camera, so you light up the way without reflections throwing off what you see. The 8X zoom is a nice feature too.

It's beginner friendly and very much plug and play, with a straightforward menu. It took a moment to get used to the camera bend, but once I did I could loop it into very tight spaces and bring back clear images. The build quality is robust — something I could see used both at home and in the workplace.
